Labuan

Labuan is known as the starting point for many excursions to Komodo National Park and its surroundings. It's also a modern and ideal port town for those looking to recover and restart between cruises at sea.

Join a diving tour at Labuan Beach

Labuan Beach is also called Tanjung Batu Beach and is located just on the outskirts of Labuan Town on the South East corner of the island. The Beach is large, sandy and spotlessly clean. There are fantastic views from the beach towards the North Borneo (Sarawak) shoreline across the sea.

Labuan Island allures thrill-seeking divers to explore its four shipwrecks. As experienced divers know, this is a rare indulgence. Join a tour and explore one or all four shipwrecks including Cement, Australian, Blue Water and American Wrecks.

Sightseeing in the Pulau Rusukan Besar

Just 30 minutes away (by boat) from Labuan Island, Malaysia. The island is such a wonderland. The beach around the island is so beautiful and clean (you can walk around in 20 minutes), a great blue sea with coral reefs everywhere for snorkeling/canoeing and the island even has a sea turtle hatchery. The cabins you can sleep in have everything you need: from water to electricity, good services and 4G cellular perception everywhere. On top of that the people working on the island are so friendly, funny and helpful, 10/10 would recommend it!

Admire the Labuan War Cemetery

Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery contains a total number of 3,900 burials. The cemetery lies on the Jalan Tanjong Batu road which leads from the airport to the town. It is less than a kilometer from the airport and about 3 kilometers from the Island's town; Victoria. Within the Cemetery will be found the Labuan Memorial and the Labuan Cremation Memorial. The history in this place about the veterans and the bronze metal and in the center the SWORD that looks like a cross tells you a lot about the island, its conquerors, its culture, and its people.

Go Shopping At Financial Park Complex

Labuan’s only established shopping mall, also known as Ujana Kewangan-UK Mall, where you will find major banks, supermarkets, pharmacies, and international eateries such as KFC and Pizza Hut. And, of course, don’t forget to take advantage of Labuan’s duty-free status – with loads of bargains to be found here!

See jungle birds at Labuan Bird Park

The Labuan Bird Park is a bird sanctuary enveloped by lush green tropical rainforest with a diverse habitat of insects, flora, and fauna. Three large domes are connected via four tunnels where the birds can roam freely in their natural settings, allowing visitors to get up close and personal.

Being a small island, there are not too many hotels to choose from within Labuan, but the vast majority are surprisingly in great condition, offering a good level of facilities and accommodation.

A trip to Labuan promises an adventure and a convenient stop between Sabah and Brunei.
